Injection Data Search Overview
This search section presents injection information collected by the Underground Injection Control (UIC) Program of the Division of Oil, Gas and Mining. All pages provide options for data to be searched, sorted, and saved to csv (spreadsheet) files. Click on items in the blue menu bar above to navigate the system.
Injection Well Information Search
This search option presents basic information on specified injection wells, including well location, UIC permit number, current operator and status.
NOTE: Using a well's API Number (American Petroleum Institute standard format for numbering) is usually the most acurate way to pinpoint searches for individual wells. All API numbers for Utah wells begin with 43 (the API state code for Utah). The next 3 digits represent the county (see county codes). Digits 6 thru 10 are a sequential number assigned when a new well is permitted for drilling. A search done where "API Well Number is Like 43037" will retrieve all wells in San Juan County.
UIC Injection Permits
This search form shows basic information on UIC permits as issued by the division, including permit numbers, issuance dates, and maximum pressures.
Well Integrity Testing
This option presents information on tests performed on specified injection wells. This includes test dates, reasons for testing, and test results.
Injection Well Volumes
This search option allows users to view monthly injection volume data for specified injection and disposal wells.
UIC Enhanced Recovery Projects
This option presents a list of the names and numbers of all Utah UIC injection projects.
Enhanced Recovery Project Volumes
This search form shows monthly injection volumes for each enhanced recovery project.
